Scroll down for English. - Коя съм аз? Казвам се Катя, на 34 години съм, от Монтана, но от 6 години живея в Ирландия. Започнах да уча английски на 5-годишна възраст. От тогава уча, постоянно и вярвам, че добрият учител е този, който не спира да учи. Преподаването за мен започва с изграждането на приятелски, грижовни отношения с ученика (учениците). Добрият учител е този, който подпомага, а не диктува какво трябва да направи ученикът. Стремя се да мотивирам учениците си да бъдат самостоятелни и да поемат сами контрола върху обучението си. Тренирам ги да мислят за себе си, да питат, да бъдат любопитни, да създават и споделят своите идеи с мен, със съучениците си, с останалия свят, разбира се на английски. По този начин искам да се отдалеча от остарелите и неефективни методи на преподаване на езици, използвани в държавните училища. Искам моите ученици да развият когнитивните си умения, да бъдат креативни и да изследват света. Общуването в часовете ми винаги е на английски, защото моята цел е да потопя учениците си в езика и неговата култура. На снимките тук ще видите мен с учениците ми през последните години (pre-Covid). I started learning English at the age of 5. I've been a student ever since. I believe a great teacher is one that never stops www.*** ; Teaching for me starts with building a friendly, caring relationship with the student(s). A good teacher is one that facilitates, rather than dictates what the student needs to do. I strive to motivate my students to be autonomous and take control of their learning. I traing my students to think for themselves, ask, be curious, create and share their ideas with me, with other students, with the rest of the world through English. By doing so, I want to move away from the outdated and ineffective methods of language teaching used in some Bulgarian schools. I want my students to develop their higher order thinking skills, to be creative and explore the world while thinking and asking questions in English, communicating using the target language and not merely translating their thoughts from Bulgarian to www.*** ;
